The Day after...

Does anyone else feel unreasonably sad the day after Christmas? It's like all the good stuff ends the minute all of the gifts are opened. It feels so odd... all of that activity, all that build-up and then BAM it's over like that. Add to the already glum feelings dreary weather, and you've got a very blue Miz Carla. Next year I am somehow going to make Christmas a week long event (at least).

In happier news I'm really looking forward to the New Year. There are so many things I want to do (I'm working on the list now).

Phew almost done!

All I have left to do as far as Christmas preparations is to buy stocking stuffers and tidy up the house a bit. I (like all of you, I'm sure) have been crazeee bizzy for the past couple of weeks. Last week was spent in the Secret Santa shop at school--that was fun but one of the little boogers gave me a case of the CRUD. This week I made these little icicle dolls in lieu of Christmas cards. If you like the look of these gals (they are SO easy and fun to make) you can find the template on my lovely friend Belinda's blog.

I mailed these off today and hope they make it to their destinations by Christmas--if not my luvvies think of them as little good wishes for a happy and healthy 2008.

If I don't get back on here before the big day let me wish you all a very Merry Christmas now. I hope you guys "git it all done" and are able to put your feet up and enjoy the magic of the season.

Acckk where is the time going?

I could've sworn I had just posted here the other day, but in "real time" it's been almost two weeks. I've been busy shopping, wrapping, and making a huge mess in my little art room. Here are two pics of the most recently completed things (sorry flickr friends--you've already seen these) :D
