By having a give-a-way! My friend Marie gifted me with 2 seats in her latest online class called "DIGITAL JOURNAL MAGIC". Look at her uber cool sample pages!
Two lucky winners are going to learn some fabulous digital tricks, and if you're one of them you will be creating your own digital journal pages throughout the New Year! Don't you just love learning new skills?
Marie is a wonderful teacher, and her videos will take you through each project step-by-step....you WILL be able to do everything she teaches on your own by the end of the class--I PROMISE! She taught me, and anyone who knows me knows that I am NOT digitally inclined, but now I'm editing my photos in Photoshop elements, I'm running actions, creating new layers, adding various effects to my photos and I can even create a collage WITHOUT paint and glue!
Please enter only if you have Photoshop or Photoshop elements installed on your computer, as those are the programs Marie uses to teach this class.
Details:
1. To enter this give-a-way please comment on this posting and share with me your 2011 artsy goals.
2. Include your full name + an email address or blog link so that I can contact you if your name is drawn.
3. Help spread the word--please post about this give-a-way on your blog/facebook pages, twitter etc.
The Drawing
I will print out all comments, cut them apart...fold them up tee tiny and put them in a basket. At midnight on Saturday January 8th 2011 I will have my son JJ draw the first name and my daughter Chloe draw the second. I will notify my two lucky peeps immediately following the drawing!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL, and many thanks to Marie for her generosity!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Miz Carla

Carla, you are such a kind person, and I am so glad to know you, if only just a little. I am not going to Hampton this year, but I just saw that Michael de Meng will be in Saluda, NC, for a week and I intend to take at least one class with him there. I think too I shall work on my painting this year and will try to create daily. Cindy T

This year I'm really going to commit to creating a bit every day. I'm not very good at keeping self-goals, but after this past month, I realize how empty I've felt without my art bits.
Happy new year!

What a wonderful opportunity... And more incentives for resolutions. Photography and digital art are a top priority this year. I do some digital, but there will always be more to learn! I am going to do the 365 photos this year. Started last year, even made myself 'get off it' and go out. Then Feb. we got a puppy and that was the rest of the 365 pics! Oh grief, I forgot the cards, the clay and mixed media!

For 2011 I am going to take the time to learn more about the Photoshop Elements 8 that I just received in the fall. I really am looking forward to trying to make digital art. Thanks so much for this Yahoo Group. I really enjoy Collage Cats. Wishing you the best for 2011.

Wow what a great giveaway! I have photoshop elements and don't play with it because it is a little intimidating. My goal for 2011 is to start a blog and to work on art daily. Thank you for the opportunity to learn more about my software.

I would LOVE to take one of these workshops. I have the latest Photoshop software and have played with it a little. But, ready to discover all the tools and what all i can do with them.
This sounds like the perfect workshop to take for it.
One of my goals for 2011 is to "surf" the net less and spend more time CREATING and keeping a journal. So, I dont have to revisit blogs and sites (the time thief).
Thank YOU

I've had Photoshop Elements for more years that I want to think about. This would be a great goal - to learn to use it. My other goal is to do only original work this year.

Goals for 2011:
1. I'm turning my den into a studio. Right now it's a HUGE ness but at least everything is in ONE place and I have a plan.
2. I don't feel "grounded" in my artwork...I don't know why or what to do about this. :(
3. I'd like to participate more in some of my groups and make some good online friends to swap artwork with.
4. I'd like to improve some of my skills...most of all drawing and digital artwork and this online class is a perfect fit!! THANKS for the opportunity to win!
Have a Happy and Blessed New Year!

Hi,I started experimenting with photoshop element a couple of years ago and loved it so much as the possibilities are endless. I took a free online tutorial on creating an Alice in Wonderland piece. I can not tell you how much I learned doing this tutorial. I upgraded to the full version a year ago. If you would like to see some of the things I have done feel free to go to my blog at francescascreations@blogspot.com. Happy New Year to all.

What a great opportunity! I've been teaching myself a few tricks using a hit and miss method and would love to learn more. I want to use more of my own images in my journals and art as well as adding texture through sewing.

One of my goals this year is to actually utilize the programs on my computer. I keep using the an old program that I am familiar with and I don't use Photoshop because it seems daunting to me. This class would be a godsend!

I've decided to avoid thinking about what to do and just get on with it! I'd like to develop my photography skills along with using photoshop to enhance the results!

what a wonderful way to start the year. my goal, as it always is at the beginning of the year, is to create "more" - a deliberately vague resolution so i don't get to beat myself up too much.

Love Marie and a chance to take her class would be such a gift. This year I'm working on marketing my art a little more and expanding and exploring art forms, like Digital art :-)

I think 2011 is the year I will start selling my artwork and open an Etsy shop. I also want to make art every day and fight the blues that overwhelm me sometimes and get in the way of creating.
I've had PS and PSE for a while but don't use them to the full capacity. Would love a chance to learn how to do it!

2011 will see me continue to create with many mediums but my main focus will be on Jewelry design and creation. I plan to do more shows and continue to work on my Etsy shop. I think it's going to be and amazing year. Thanks for the chance to win.

Oh, I'm so glad I found this giveaway--it couldn't have come at a more opportune time. Photoshop Elements 9 was one of my Christmas presents this year, and I am lost with it. I am determined to learn this way of creating very unique art. Another goal--art journaling!! This is the year that I'll finish one! Thank you so much for having this giveaway.

This would be an amazing opportunity for anyone to further their art skills. I've heard that Marie is a wonderful teacher! My artsy goals for this year are to DO ART! Not just to read about it or journal about it, but to DO IT! Thank you for this opportunity.
