Here's what I did today while I was hiding from the kids working outside in the studio. The first thing is a little altered soft-covered book about Paris. I liked the size and weight of this book, so I added all kinds of blank papers onto the pages, so when I'm ready to jot down a thought or idea, it's right there and (carla speak) "RED TO GO!" The next two items are little altered canvases that I got at the dollar store (2 for 4 bucks thankyouverymuch). They had little Paris (and no I certainly don't have a thing against paris I swear!) themes painted on them, anyhoo I painted over that and added some collage images from one of my favorite Collage sheet Divas...Miz Teesha Moore I love Teesha's images, but I've said it once and I'll say it again--no matter what I do with them, they still look 'too teesha'...not that that is a bad thing mind you. I like these though and they will look cool over our bar.
The cage looking thing is the companion piece to the caged fairy thing I made the other day. Once again I used one of those cool metal candle holder stand thingies (you all should look for these-dollar general..that's the yellow one-three bucks I think) this time I put a bird in and glued some tacky fake roses into the nest :D hopefully someone will walk into my little curio shoppe and want to take it home with them. Speaking of which...I named my cubby hole, and made a little sign to hang in there. Wanna see? It's nothing fancy, but will look cute amongst all my cast-offs.
Boy these pictures are all boogered up. Sorry folks, I'm still learning my way around here.
That's my big update for the day...I had more stuff to say, but to be honest this is like the third frigging time I've put all these pictues in and I'm pretty much over it for the night.
Ta ta my sweets
