Thanks for the sweet emails you guys have sent asking where I was and if I'm ok. I'm alive and well :D Last Friday night we had an early birthday party for Miz Chloe (we knew Daddy would have to be away for her 'real' birthday which was the 12th). Anyhoo, we had lots of friends and family over... Jeff grilled burgers and hot dogs, and all of the kids played on the water slide and in the pool.

The water slide. Words cannot express how much FUN this thing was. The landing was rough on the kids cause they are so little, but I didn't hurt anything when I went down it.
Chloe, JJ, Jeff and I would like to thank all of our family and friends who came over to help us celebrate. We enjoyed visiting with you guys, and had lots of fun with you. Chloe sends out big hugs and thank yous for all of the great presents you gave her.
Since the party JJ has been sick with an ear ache. After a visit to his ear doctor we learned that one of his tubes is still in and has a flap of skin over it...which caused a big nasty mess in there and lots of pain for him. Poor darlin. He is on the mend now though. Of course one of the kids can't be sick without me getting sympathy sick, so I've been dealing with a sore throat and enough fever to make me feel beat-up and lousy. Thankfully we had a stash of antibiotics and I didn't have to go to the doctor. We should all be right as rain soon.

In other news I have decided to turn the front parlor room into a studio work space. I was telling my friend Jeannine that it looks gorgeous so far...in fact it is almost *too* gorgeous. I need to make a few more changes and "tone it down" in there. I'll share the re-do pictures once I'm finished (I'm waiting on the arrival of this book to inspire me!)
I probably won't be around much in the upcoming week. I'm going to pick up my nephew and 2 nieces Monday morning and will probably have them for a week or so. Five kids in my house (eeeekkk) :D They are going to have a blast.
I have filled a small notebook full of ideas of artsy things I want to do soon. I don't understand why the ideas flow so freely when I have *no* time to realize them, but when I do have time *nothing-zip-zilch-nada* hopefully having the notebook will help during those times. I also have some new art to share, but need to scan it first...will try and do that later tonight.
