Tomorrow (Wednesday) is Joanna's surgery. Please, if you see this stop what you are doing and say a prayer of healing for her, or light a candle, or send good thoughts--whatever you are comfortable with. Let's lift her up high as she begins this next phase of her journey.

I worked all evening hanging lights, putting together metal trees...wrapping garland around rails....phew! I'm beat, but so happy with the way things are glowing bright tonight.

You all would be proud of me if you could see how many things I have going in my art room. I just completed these two today.
"Fair Princess" This is done on over some cheap dollar store art :D can't beat 1.50 for a canvas this size.
"Sea Maiden" assemblage on pine board. Acrylic paints, rubber stamps, tomato sauce lid, copper plant tag, fishing reel handle, watchmaker's tin, beads, crown molding, postcard (face)brass nails and vintage text. Around the watchmakers tin the words read her voice was like the call of the ocean. Corny enough for ya? :D I had fun with this...I really like using everyday junk.
I've been bizzy decorating the house for Christmas. The trees are up and decorated and the icicle lights are hung in the back...now, have to decorate the porch and the front yard, but that can wait until after Thanksgiving. It's a nice feeling to know that I'm ahead of the Holiday game...NO STRESS for me this year.

Haven't had much time for art these past few days, but I did manage to start a couple of art dolls (which will hopefully get finished tomorrow) and this collage on board. I don't know where my titles and words are coming from lately...they just kind of show up at the right moment. The little girl image is from paper whimsy...and for some reason the way she's holding her little hat made me think of a visitor...hence the wording "love is the heart's visitor"
I'm not feeling too hot. Stupid sinus headache has been lingering for 3 days, and nothing I take touches it, but does manage to make my tummy feel yucky. I'm off to take a nice hot shower, jump in my warm jammies and enjoy a hot cup of cocoa with the munchkins.
