Let the music lessons begin

Chloe's PINK guitar came today and it's official--Jeff and I are crazy! The noise level in this house has increased 150 decibals--but we're digging it and the kids are having a blast. I caught them being serious about their noise music today.

Besides mom...Max the kitty cat is J's #1 fan.

Chloe with her pink cheeks, pink shirt and pink guitar. Her sweet little made-up songs remind me so much of the ones Lisa Kudrow/Phoebe Buffay-Hannigan (from Friends) sang.

Happiness is....

a wonderful warm breeze coming through an open window blowing my pretty new kitchen curtains.

Look out weekend...

cause here I come--because weekends were MADE FOR FUN!

Eeeegads what a week. I didn't think it would ever end! The new roof is all put on the house, and things are nice and quiet again...well, except for the fact that JJ's electric guitar arrived today. Chloe's hot pink acoustic will be here on the 21st..until then she's content to strum on big bro's every time he leaves his unattended.

I was bored today, so I started cleaning the art room. I ran across this 11 x 14 canvas board that I had painted green eons ago, and decided to do something w/ it. I'm no painter in any way shape or form, but I do like these funky little flowers. I may add some text along the skyline if I run across the perfect quote. I need a funky frame--the one I used for displaying purposes is a little too ornate.

My girl Tiff spoiled me to death! Thank you so much dearheart. I adore this one-of-a-kind Tiffini Elektra X mirror, dig the cool little buttons (I *collect* them SQUEEEE) and can't wait to listen to the mix tape (I be JAMMIN tomorrow!) You ROCK girlie, and I hope your little surprise made its way to your mailbox.

email apologies

I am experiencing a little back log of emails. I apologize girlies...life has gotten in the way. We are finished fixing up the kitchen (I say we...should be I :D hehee), we've had bad weather, and now we're getting a new roof put on the house (not bad weather related--just time for a new one). Also big daddy is home for a couple of days. I will try and get caught up in stolen moments this week.

I have great family members and friends who really know how to make a gal feel special on her birthday :D thanks everyone for the phonecalls, emails, cards, e-cards and Live Journal love. Mama Naron thank you for the perfume, Uncle Kim thank you for the pretty gloves, and baby sis thank you for the gorgeous flowers! I spent the entire day lounging around like a queen. I happily stumbled onto Michael DeMeng making his awesome polaroid shrines on craft lab this morning which motivated me to go dig in my art room and find my polaroid  camera. Now, all I need is some film. I also liked what the host Jen did with her polaroid pictures--lovin the way that show feeds my muse!

The kids have been *SO* good all day. I'm talking NO fighting ALL day long. Thank you JJ and Chloe--that's the best gift you could have given Mama. I love you guys!

I'm going to stay up LATE tonight--get all of my "chores" done, and straighten the art room--so I can play tomorrow and make something for the Collage Cat Art pARTy. I love Saturday nights w/ my art girls. CCat Chat is back BTW thanks to Miz Leslie. She set up chat on her BB forum and it works like a charm...no more gettin kicked around by yahoo :D
