Last Wednesday I hopped on the plane and headed to Virginia for a week of friends and art. I took this picture of the clouds from the plane because I thought they were so pretty. I'm such a big girl these days...I used to *hate* to FLY! My dearest Marie and her wonderful hubby Rick picked me up from the airport and our adventure was underway.
The first person I saw at the hotel was my friend Kathy Wasilewski. She was unloading mass quantities of stuff from her car. She's just as cute and funny in real life as she is online. It was great meeting so many of my friends face-to-face (Joyce Vance and Shirley McCutcheon I wish I would've gotten a picture of your cute little selves)!

Thursday (and Friday too) I had class with the wonderful Stephanie Lee. If you ever get the chance to take a class with her DO IT! She was amazing, and very very generous with her knowledge of all things plaster. I just got back from the store with all the things Steph used in class so I can make more cool plaster pieces. Thanks so much Stephanie!! I had a great time and really enjoyed your class.

Friday night I had dinner w/ the lovely Terrie Lightfoot, her adorable (and fun) Mother Miz Janet, and my new friend Karen B. at the Olive Garden...where I met the beautiful Kate from Vintage Charmings and her sister Kim.

Saturday I had the always fun Michael DeMeng's lightbulb shrine class. Unfortunately my bulb broke, so I don't have a picture....but...I do have a pic of some of Mr Mike's awesome artwork (it's amazing what he can do with junk!) I brought home two tubes of leeequid nails and plan to play with what I learned in that class tomorrow. I got to sit by the beautiful (and funny) Belinda Schneider in class too!
Saturday night was Vendor night. Here is miz Marie at her Lost Aussie table (go see the newest designs if you haven't already..they ROCK). We were crazy busy all night long and sold completely out of several sheets. We both had the absolute best time visitng with everyone that stopped by the Lost Aussie booth.
Before vendor night got started we had the pleasure of visiting with these cuties. That's Misty and Nina in the front...Kathy Was on the left and Terrie Lightfoot on the right. Can I just state for the record that there was a TON of cool stuff to buy?
More pics of friends....

Marie, Rick, Aggie and I spent Sunday afternoon junk-hunting where I scored the most amazing dollheads (for casting in plaster). We had a great time but nearly got blown away by that crazy wind! Did I mention it was cold the entire my time this old southern bodied girl was there? brrrrr it's good to be back home in the land of warmth, humidity and swimming pools!
I had the perfect ending to my art and soul experience. I checked out of the hotel a day earlier and hung out with my art pal Jeannine! Jeannine is too precious for words and we had a great time making art together. Thanks for having me over Jeannine--I had FUN!
Thanks to Glenny and Cindy for a wonderful time-See you next year!
xoxs to all my art and soul gals and all of you that I wish could have been there also!
