I've been pretty busy lately with kids, church, the old farmhouse that won't stay clean, visits w/ family, and art projects. Thanks to the sweeties who emailed to check on me--I'm fine and really had no idea that so much time had passed since my last update. Let me try and catch you all up.
Memorial Day Weekend: my baby sister drove up from Florida and then we (along w/ my two munchkins) met our other sister, my niece, my nephew, my great-niece and my oldest son in Mt. Pleasant Texas. We had three rooms and pretty much took the poor hotel over, but had lots of fun visiting and giggling about days gone by. We discovered Hastings books and music stores and OMG went nuts in the magazine department! Good times--Good times.
Since that weekend the weather has been kind of crazy here. It's hot as Hades and we've been having some pretty good thunderstorms that have knocked the power out a couple of times...during one of those times I decided to give my Blythe girls make-overs
Here they are fresh from their baths. I soaked their hair in a mixture of Downey and water. Now it's all soft and smells so good!
I twisted Jazzie's long hair and then secured on the ends with a small clip--the result was really pretty big spirals. Catsy and Bleu both got the sponge roller treatment.

Catsy and Bleu. I've been *trying* to sew some new outfits for the girls, but I'm not having too much luck w/ that. I don't get this whole dress-making thing. I can sew with the machine just fine, but making sense of pattern construction bumfuzzles me. I did manage to get one dress to actually resemble a dress though
that yellow band at the waist is a removable belt I added to give the dress a little shape. I'm ashamed to say that since I finished this dress I can't seem to remember how I did it lol--I'm pathetic I KNOW!
Unless you want to see pics of my organized closets and cupboards that's all I have to share for now ;)
