RIP Vera

I just learned that Miz Vera Lucia from Brazil passed away on June 12th. Her bright light will be missed in this artist community of ours. The Collage Cat group sends our deepest sympathies to Vera's family.

Art Journaling Trunk

An art journaler I am not. I don't know why. I love art journals (other people's anyway). In a last ditch attempt to join in all this journaling fun I made myself a little toolbox. Pink and girly, I'm hoping it'll inspire me to play in my moleskin journals. It can't hurt to have everything in one handy spot right?

Some new art

Hey guys!

I got to play w/ some paint today, so I am once again a calm and happy girl. It kills me how I get so yucky when I haven't been able to release any creativity for awhile. I swear if I didn't make art I'd probably explode!

These canvases are for JJ's room using his color palette--they look really cute in there. I could get used to this graphic style of painting (don't tell anyone... it's really EASY!) I wish all the detail would show up in this photo, but sigh it doesn't so you'll just have to trust me that they are cooler in person than they appear on your screen ;)

I made these for Cole the other day to hang in his new house.

and here's a little wooden piece I finally got around to finishing...it's so *not* what I'd usually do, but that's what the muse handed me.

Hey guys

We're back from our vacation...Had a great time in Florida w/ the wedding and the Disney thang. I'm glad to be home again but having trouble getting things done (ugghh I hate that!) Anyhoo we're all fine and I've uploaded new photos to my live journal "a year in photos project".

Will share pics here soon
