A day in the life of Miz Carla

Welcome

Ringing in a New Year always finds me feeling a bit "wishy-washy." I'm both excited to welcome a New Year, yet sad to say good-bye to the old one.

2008 had lots of good stuff in it!

Cole (my oldest) moved back to La from Ok

My baby sister got married

We went to Disney world and had a blast!

I've made lots of new friends

We got a new puppy

IT SNOWED AT OUR HOUSE!

Jeff bought me my faboo canon that I still love (AND for Christmas he bought me a nice new lens for it) thank you honey!

All three of my children were baptized (and on the same day!)

Taking an online class with Suzi Blu-she taught me that it's ok if my drawings DON'T look like real people :D I highly recommend her Les Petites Dollies class--you'll have a BLAST, and in just a few weeks will be drawing the cutest/sassiest little girls ever!

I'm sure there is more, but my brain is mush (I've been watching football tonight--I KNOW right?)

Things I'm looking forward to in 2009

I recently hooked up with some fabulous ladies who own a really cool online biz. They sell gorgeous collage sheets! I'll be doing some design work for them and I'm really excited about it. They have a website PAPER IMAGERY DESIGNS AND A Paper imagery designs BLOG (go see--lots of awesome things in both spots).

Saving money and getting out of debt. I want to be able to call Dave Ramsey and tell him we're DEBT FREE :D

Taking lots of pictures w/ my faboo camera.

Making gobs of ART!

Getting organized and STAYING that way

Making LOTS of sales in my Etsy shop ;)

Hopefully making a trip to NYC to see MY MARIE! or at least hanging out with her at one of the art retreats.

Thank you to all who stop by my little corner of the web and leave me hellos. I have not been a very lively blogger I know...BUT... that is something I am putting on my resolutions list. I'll be more fun in '09--I promise!

Today finds me

deep in the pantry--sweeping, dusting, tossing, checking expiration dates and rearranging. You'd think I'd remember what a big job this is and keep things tidier in there, but I don't. Next (GOD help me) is the icebox. If I survive that it's on to the rest of the house, which thankfully isn't too bad.

My gifts for my online friendlies are beginning to look more like Valentines.... New Year's gifts at best. I didn't even fill out a single Christmas card :(

One more day.... if you are stressing out like me, take a big deep breath and chant with me "things will be back to normal soon...things will be back to normal soon!" Dont'cha feel better now?

I have much more to share, but no time to do it, so let me close by wishing all of you the Merriest of Christmases. I pray good cheer, peace and joy will fill your home and hearts!
