things that make you go hmmmm? Well that's playing over and over in my mind this morning as I read some of the letters to the editor in the newest issue of Cloth Paper Scissors. I'm really turned OFF by the letters "dissing" those adorable snowmen on the cover of the Nov/Dec '08 issue. I thought they were awesome and know that several of us were inspired by them and were making them ourselves.
I'm disgusted that those letters were even printed (even though I understand that magazines tend to print both good and bad reviews of their issues-I'm not angry w/ CPS--they did feature them on the cover afterall)...because I feel it's a huge insult to the artist who created the snowmen (that in my opinion were more than worthy of the cover--and to be completely honest were the very reason I bought that issue!)
Anyhoo I just emailed the artist to let her know how much I loved the snowmen. It's all I can do to not write a scathing letter to CPS addressing those letters written by... gosh how do I describe these people--little snowman haters? No that's not harsh enough--but you know what I mean. Who writes letters like this, and what purpose did it serve? I just don't get it.
Did this bother any of you or am I just being uber sensitive? Maybe it's this diet I'm on LOL! How would you feel if you were the cover artist and peeps wrote letters to a magazine editor dissing your work that was featured on the cover?
