I'm writing in hopes that you can join me in spreading get well wishes and cheer
to a friend of mine's 14 year old nephew. If you could send him a card I would
appreciate it so much. I know we could make him feel better just by letting him
know there are people out there who care. Below is an excerpt from an email I
received from his Aunt (My highschool friend Conni)
"He is such a sweet kid and is having such a hard time, basically thinks he is
going to die...at 14! He is so scared! He doesn't know how to express himself
anymore....he can't go outside for the Dr's fear of infection....can't go to
school, he was a wrestler, BIG into soccer, now all he gets to do is be tutored
at home and is big into video games thru the internet....what a life, gets to
peek out the door, and that is about it.....the cancer was in his neck so the
radiation has burned his throat, mouth, neck and face....it burned all his
tastebuds even though they take evasive measures to prevent these types of
things, he hasn't been able to taste food for several months now! Every night
his face swells and he has difficulty breathing.....it is so scary for him and
for us all."

Nick wants to be a Marine, he plays Modern Warfare online and loves his x-box,
he also loves his white lab puppy named Lilly.
