Hey Guys,

Did you all notice my pretty new banner? I LOVE it and want to thank the ever lovely Miz Debrina Pratt from Land of Enchanment for granting me permission to use her lovely images in my blog creation. You absolutely must visit her etsy shop and pick up some of her awesome collage sheet! I bought the trading card ones and cannot wait to make some cool ATCs with them! It's Crafty Saturday!!

and I'm bringing this cute little yo yo headband I made to the party. These are so fun and easy. All you do is create 3 yo yos in graduating sizes and in complementary colors. Stack them from biggest to smallest and sew a button to the center of the smallest yo yo. Hot glue to headband and voila!

A few things to share

This past Saturday found me under my tent at the annual Heritage Day Festival right down the road in Long Leaf, LA... home of an old sawmill community turned museum; one very NEAT place! Anyhoo a handfull of us fleamarket girls pitched out tents to sell our wares. Here are a few photos of the day...

I bought this old baby bed mattress frame thing from the fleamarket and it was perfect to clip my little pretty bits to... It got lots of attention which is always a good thing I guess.

 

My brilliant friend Saucy suggested something hanging all pretty-like from the top of the tent, this old light fixture fit the bill and a lady who is getting married soon bought it even though it wasn't really for sale :D

 
 Another display....I got these two urns at the trade days sale...I paid .50 for the big one and .25 for the little one... a coat of spray paint and a few dollar store flowers and I had two cute little arrangements that perfectly match my friend Emily's pretty little frame w/ gorgeous rose print from the graphics fairy.

 

Some of Emily's pretty things. I'm so proud of her...for years I tried to get her to be crafty and now FINALLY she's dabbling in it.

 
It's true...Moms *ARE* made of money.  

 
My friend Tina  made these adorable signs. I put lots more photos on her blog if you'd like to check them out... she owns a gorgeous fleamarket and you're liable to be inspired by visiting her blog.  

 

Local artists were asked to decorate a chair for a silent auction the museum was holding titled "chair-ish" here's a shot of my chair (thanks Tina!!!) before...

 
and here it is all "girliefied". I hope someone fell in love with it and took it home. I wish I had gotten a picture of all of them together.

the last thing I have to show you is another prayer altar--probably my most favorite one ever. I made if for Miz Tina's birthday. I'm in love with that antiquing medium from Valspar that I bought at Lowe's...it grunges up things very quickly!

I love making these.

 

Sometimes my sewing machine and I get along and make cute things like these fabric bookmarks. Most times we just make ugly knots!!!

 
After Valentine's day I found these cute little hearts in the clearance bin at Michael's. I bought several packs knowing something could be done to them to make them a little less valentiney.

 
Inspired by the lovely hearts made with clay by... (I'm gonna have to find that issue of somerset studio, so I can give proper credit to the artist who created them) I turned the little valentine hearts into pendants, and put them in my flea market booth.

Speaking of being inspired...inspiration is coming at me in waves; so much so that I can't seem to get focused on anything. Don't you love/hate it when that happens? Usually it takes a simple day of organizing the art room to settle me down... just have to find the time to do that (sigh).
