created in Marie's Journal Magic Class! I am loving this project--so much FUN and like the goddess of all things digital Marie just reminded me...NO MESS to clean up!! Woo Hoo!!

I do know it's time for a pen and tablet though--I cannot draw with this track ball!

Some new pictures of mah babee!!

Chloe and I were testing out my portrait studio this afternoon to see how it's all going to work (and it isn't--have to move everything again after supper) and I got some sweet shots of her being....well just being cute.

I ♥ this one.

Are your babies growing up as fast as mine are? I feel like I'm caught up in some kind of weird time vortex thing.

Let's start the New Year off in a FUN way!

By having a give-a-way! My friend Marie gifted me with 2 seats in her latest online class called "DIGITAL JOURNAL MAGIC". Look at her uber cool sample pages!

Two lucky winners are going to learn some fabulous digital tricks, and if you're one of them you will be creating your own digital journal pages throughout the New Year! Don't you just love learning new skills?

Marie is a wonderful teacher, and her videos will take you through each project step-by-step....you WILL be able to do everything she teaches on your own by the end of the class--I PROMISE! She taught me, and anyone who knows me knows that I am NOT digitally inclined, but now I'm editing my photos in Photoshop elements, I'm running actions, creating new layers, adding various effects to my photos and I can even create a collage WITHOUT paint and glue!

 Please enter only if you have Photoshop or Photoshop elements installed on your computer, as those are the programs Marie uses to teach this class.

The Drawing

I will print out all comments, cut them apart...fold them up tee tiny and put them in a basket. At midnight on Saturday January 8th 2011 I will have my son JJ draw the first name and my daughter Chloe draw the second. I will notify my two lucky peeps immediately following the drawing!

Good grief! I let a lot of time pass between posts!

What can I say I've been a busy girl (at least that's my tried and true although overly expressed excuse :D). I finally slowed down enough to get a few snapshots of Magnolia Manor in her Holiday dress. Have lots to share, but am so sleepy I can barely hold my head up. I'm going to post a few pics and call it a night.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the Christmas Season. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year!

The Christmas Angel Project

My friend Marie and I were talking last night and we touched upon an idea of a way to spread some Christmas love this Holiday Season. We thought it would be fun to give back to those friends we all have who even though we may never speak with on the phone, or met in person we consider a true friend. You know who I'm talking about...she's always there with an email offering support, she leaves kind comments on your blog, she's the first to send you a Christmas card or wish you a Happy Birthday and she gives her friendship without any strings attached. Marie and I are lucky enough to share a couple of friends like this and we're going to hit them with some LOVE this year!

The idea is to gather a few (or several) of your friends. Have them donate a completed piece of art, a lovely ornament, a gift certificate to your etsy shop, a piece of jewelry or whatever you have that you'd like to "gift" and then send that item to your friend's friend....she in turn will do the same for one or more of your friends. See how quickly the love could be spread?

In addition, lovely Marie has gifted me with two seats in her upcoming online classes to give away. The first is her Digital Magic class (which I took myself and learned LOTS) it begins on December 15th. The second gift is in her brand new journal magic class and it begins on January 15th. Thank you Marie!!! I will be giving these away in a contest (watch for a separate post), as well as some things I've gathered and other friends have donated.

My first LSU Tigers game

Big Daddy and I have been together for nearly 20 years and this past weekend he finally succeeded in getting me to a game...What can I say? I'm getting soft in my old age. Here's my top 10 list regarding this experience.

1. Tiger fans LOVE their football team! 

2. Death Valley could be a scary place if you came to cheer for another team!

3. The stadium rocks--literally!

4. Cotton Candy makes football game watching better.

5. It's fun to buy game gear! I came out with a fabulous tiger striped leather purse!

6. The Tiger Land Band is really GOOD!

7. If Big Daddy MAKES you take a jacket even though it's 70+ degrees when you get to the stadium--don't argue or grumble about it. One hour into the game the wind shifted, the temp dropped 20 degrees and it sprinkled, but we were nice and warm cause Big Daddy is smart like dat.

8. Heights make me feel funny.

9. Lots (and lots and lots) of people go to LSU games.

10. LSU football generates lots of $$$$s.

Thanks family for a fun weekend--I enjoyed the game, but it was spending time with you guys that made me the happiest!

and I'm happy to report we WON...in fact it was a blow-out.. poor ULM.
